Marriage Failure: Factors That Can Kill Your Marriage

Good marriages are manure for societal growth. Marriage creates homes from which individuals in society undergo basic learning and development. Many marriages today have collapsed or are under threat of collapse as a result of a number of factors, some of which are easily avoidable. It is important that we remind ourselves of the elements and practices that cause troubles in marriages, and by extension homes and families. Recognizing and managing them would help us create a better society.

The causes of most marriage failures are not farfetched, rather they are common knowledge. A reminder is necessary to keep you thinking about how to avoid them. Here are some factors that can kill your marriage which you should avoid or work to manage properly:

  • Lack of trust can kill your marriage
  • Lack of love and respect can kill your marriage
  • Laziness can kill your marriage
  • Self-centeredness and selfishness can kill your marriage
  • Suspicion can kill your marriage

I must say that each of these factors by themselves may not result in the collapse of a marriage. However, when any of them become prevalent or sustained over time, it would surely pose serious strain on your marriage. A combination of these factors can be lethal.

Let us not fail to recognize that the health of our marriages and families goes a long way in determining the state of the society we live in. Prepare yourself to build a family that will contribute to the overall health of humanity.
